Ideas come to you when you least expect them. You need a way to capture those ideas so later you can do some more development on them. About six months ago I came across Google Keep and have been using it ever since.
For what its worth, here’s the way I keep track of my ideas. When an idea occurs to me, I open Keep on the closest device I have available, my computer, my tablet or my smart phone. I have them all set so they sync with each other, i.e. if I enter something on one, the thought is available on all my other devices, including my backup computer. This way, I can record my idea where ever I am and know it will be available when I’m ready to work on it some more.
Its as simple as that. By recording the idea, I can let it go if I’m currently working on something else. Otherwise, the idea would continue to occupy part of my thought process and clutter up what I’m trying to work on.
I know there are other apps that do essentially the same thing. I’m very happy with the way Google Keep works for me. If you haven’t yet developed a method for recording your ideas, try Google Keep.
